Brittany Ferries does not run a permanent "discount code" programme. Instead, it uses a pricing strategy that rewards early booking, supplemented by seasonal promotional fares, short-break deals and a paid travel club for frequent travellers. Understanding how these work is more useful than searching for a voucher code that may not exist or may have expired.
WHERE TO LOOK
Where to find current Brittany Ferries offers
The single most reliable source of current Brittany Ferries deals is the operator's own offers page. This is where Brittany Ferries publishes its current promotional fares, short-break deals, day-trip offers and mini-cruise packages.
Typical offer categories include short-break fares, day trips, longer-stay fares and themed mini-cruises. The specific deals, prices and travel periods change regularly, so check the operator's page for the current range rather than relying on a third-party summary that may be out of date.
We do not reproduce live fares on Brittany.co.uk because ferry pricing changes frequently and a stale figure is worse than no figure. Instead, we direct you to the official source and help you understand the structure of the offers so you know what to look for.
DISCOUNT CODES
Does Brittany Ferries offer discount codes?
We couldn't find a standing public discount code advertised by Brittany Ferries on its UK website. The operator instead promotes savings through its own offers, ticket types and Club Voyage membership.
Third-party voucher-code websites may display codes or offers that are expired, restricted or no longer available. Check any claimed discount against Brittany Ferries' current offers or booking process before relying on it.
If you do find a code on a third-party site, test it during the booking process before assuming it will reduce your fare. Do not plan your holiday around a discount code that may not exist.
OVER-60S DISCOUNT
Does Brittany Ferries offer an over-60s or senior discount?
We could not find a current general over-60s or senior discount advertised by Brittany Ferries on its UK website. The operator's pricing is based on ticket type, travel date and booking timing rather than passenger age, but individual promotions can have their own eligibility conditions, so it is worth checking the operator's current offers page rather than relying on old references elsewhere online.
The most reliable way to check whether any age-related discount is currently available is to visit the Brittany Ferries offers page or contact the operator directly.
CLUB VOYAGE
Club Voyage membership: is it worth it for the savings?
Club Voyage is Brittany Ferries' paid travel club, designed for frequent travellers. It offers savings on ferry crossings and onboard spending, but it requires an upfront investment, so it only makes sense if you travel to France or Spain regularly.
According to the official Brittany Ferries website, Club Voyage France membership currently includes:
- Up to 35% savings on sailings to France (and up to 15% on Spain routes).
- Free or discounted cabins on daytime sailings to or from France, subject to availability.
- 10% off dining in onboard restaurants and cafés (minimum spend applies).
- A €12.50 food and drink voucher per passenger when sailing overnight with a cabin.
- 50% off onboard Wi-Fi, 50% off cinema tickets and 10% off wellness and spa treatments.
- 10% off holiday packages booked through Brittany Ferries.
The first-year cost is £130 (a £60 one-off registration fee plus £70 annual membership). Whether this pays for itself depends on how many crossings you make, the time of year you travel and how much you spend onboard. A traveller making two or more France crossings per year — particularly with a cabin — is more likely to see a return than someone making a single off-peak day trip.
Club Voyage members also receive an additional 5% saving on certain short-break promotional fares, such as the 5-Day Fare, according to the operator's current offers page.
Brittany.co.uk is independent of Brittany Ferries and does not receive commission on Club Voyage memberships. Our route advice is not designed to push membership either way. Club Voyage benefits, fees and discounts can change — check the current Club Voyage terms and benefits on the Brittany Ferries website before joining.
EARLY BIRD
Early Bird fares: the cheapest ticket type
Brittany Ferries offers three ticket types: Early Bird, Standard and Flexi. Early Bird is described by the operator as the cheapest fare available at the time of booking, excluding promotional fares. It is only available when you book 60 or more days before your outward sailing.
The trade-off is flexibility. Early Bird tickets require full payment at the time of booking, are non-refundable, and carry a £20 amendment fee per change made through the website (£30 if made by phone). If your travel dates might change, the Standard or Flexi fare types allow amendments and cancellations under certain conditions, at a higher headline price.
Brittany Ferries states that its pricing strategy rewards early bookers: as capacity on a sailing fills, the price can gradually rise. This means that for a fixed-date trip — particularly during school holidays or peak summer — booking early is generally the most reliable way to secure the lowest fare, rather than waiting for a promotional offer that may not materialise.
For a fuller explanation of when to book and which dates tend to be most expensive, see our separate guide to the best time to book Brittany Ferries.
SHORT-BREAK FARES
Short-break and day-trip fares
Brittany Ferries regularly offers structured short-break fares that can be cheaper than a standard return booking. These include day-trip options and multi-day fares to France, and longer fares to Spain. The operator publishes current prices on its offers page for a car and a set number of passengers.
These fares are tied to a maximum trip duration (for example, a 5-day fare covers up to five days away) and may have travel-date restrictions. They can be a good option if your trip fits the duration window, but they are not automatically cheaper than a standard return if you need a longer stay.
Club Voyage members receive an additional 5% saving on selected short-break promotional fares, according to the operator's current offers page.

CABIN SAVINGS
Cabin and onboard savings
If you are taking an overnight crossing, the cabin is part of the cost of the journey rather than an optional extra. Club Voyage members receive free or discounted cabins on daytime sailings to or from France, and a €12.50 food and drink voucher per passenger when sailing overnight with a cabin. These onboard benefits can offset some of the membership cost if you travel regularly.
For travellers who are not Club Voyage members, the cabin decision still matters for the total cost: on an overnight route such as Portsmouth to Saint-Malo, a cabin can replace a hotel night, which may make the overall journey cost-competitive even if the headline fare looks higher.
TOTAL COST
Other legitimate ways to reduce the total crossing cost
The fare you see on the Brittany Ferries booking page is only one part of the total journey cost. Fuel, tolls, cabin accommodation, pet travel and onward driving in France all contribute to what the trip actually costs. Reducing the total is often a matter of route choice and timing rather than finding a discount on the ferry itself.
A cheaper crossing from a port further from home can cost more in fuel and time. Use the Route Finder to compare the complete journey.
Off-peak and shoulder-season dates are generally cheaper than school-holiday and peak summer sailings. Even a day or two of flexibility can reduce the fare.
If your dates are fixed and unlikely to change, Early Bird is the cheapest fare. If you need flexibility, weigh the Standard or Flexi fare against the risk of amendment fees.
If you live in the South East, a cheaper Normandy crossing plus a longer French drive can sometimes produce a lower total cost than a direct Brittany route. Compare the whole journey before deciding.
DIRECT FERRIES
When comparing Direct Ferries may be useful
Direct Ferries is a ferry-comparison platform that aggregates sailings from multiple operators. It can be a useful tool for comparing Brittany Ferries fares alongside other operators on the same or similar routes, particularly if you are flexible about which ferry company you travel with.
The advantage of a comparison platform is that it can surface cheaper alternative crossings you might not have considered. The trade-off is that the lowest fare is not always the best journey: a cheaper Normandy crossing can add hours of driving in France, and the cheapest operator may not arrive in the part of Brittany you want to visit.
If you do find a cheaper fare through a comparison platform, use the Route Finder to check what that crossing means for the total journey — UK drive, crossing and French road leg — before committing.
CHECKLIST
Practical savings checklist
- Check the official offers page: Start at brittany-ferries.co.uk/offers for current promotions rather than relying on third-party voucher sites.
- Book early for the lowest fare: Early Bird tickets are available 60 or more days before outward sailing and are the cheapest ticket type.
- Be date-flexible: Off-peak and shoulder-season sailings are cheaper than school-holiday and peak summer dates.
- Do not chase discount codes: We couldn't find a standing public discount code on the operator's UK website. Third-party voucher sites may display codes that are expired, restricted or no longer available — check any claimed discount against the official booking process.
- Check Club Voyage if you travel frequently: The paid membership can save regular travellers up to 35% on France sailings, but weigh the £130 first-year cost against your expected usage.
- Compare the whole journey: The cheapest ferry is not always the cheapest trip. Use the Route Finder to compare driving, crossing and onward travel together.
- Do not assume a senior discount exists: We could not find a current general over-60s discount advertised on the operator's UK website. Check the current offers page in case a promotion has its own eligibility conditions.
