Pays Bigouden is a fast growing tourist area, that has traditionally been famous for its artisanal fishing ports which land much of France's daily fish. Today these ports are still very active and are a must to visit in the afternoon when the catch is landed. The local town of Pont l' Abbe is the old crossing point of the river of the same name, and has good local shopping and surprisingly some very expensive cloths shops! The property is a delightful small cottage in a quiet position, yet close to the beach near Kerity.

This chateau is just on the edge of Benodet and so you can enjoy the peace of the grounds and yet be close to the centre of the resort and the beach at Le Letty. The cathedral city of Quimper with its lovely old quarter and excellent shopping is only a short drive away. A superb holiday location.

Located on the banks of the Etel river in pretty hamlet of Vieux Passage, which marks the original crossing point of the river before the impressive Pont Lorois was built. Etel was once the centre of the tuna fishing industry, but today is only left with a small port and the aptly named 'Bistrot a Thon', which famously serves tuna in over 60 different recipes!.
